Staff Training

After a long week of staff training...

I have a new obsession with the grey baby bunny in the middle cage at the mini farm,

I've tested out the best twin outfit ever,

I've touched the bottom of the Richard G. Marsh lake with my stomach and hands way more than I ever wanted to and had a lake photo shoot with some really fun DC counselors,

tried out lots of bubble wands (and stolen Alex's to see how long it would take him to notice),

found Annie's long lost twin,

played imaginary and real jump rope,

danced the entire way through a country ho-down dinner ( my personal favorites were T Swift and the Ho-down Throw-down),

and had SO MUCH FUN! I can't wait for an awesome Summer with awesome new friends.

I really like mail!

Okay, so in 2 days, I leave for the beginning of my first summer on staff at Camp T. I'm really really really really excited, optimistic, joyful, hopeful, and pumped about it. I love that most of the people who read this blog are camp people. I love that when I post about camp my readers really understand and connect with where I'm coming from. With all that being said...

I'D REALLY LOVE TO GET MAIL THIS SUMMER!
seriously... it would make my day.

Bloggers Unite Round 2

We loved the blog hop so much the first time we decided to go again! Enjoy!

3 Pictures of things I really loved this year:

3 songs i listened to A TON:
Mean by Taylor Swift (and the rest of her album)
Your Love is Strong by Jon Foreman

3 people I didn't know before this year that have been main characters in my life:

Mags:
This year Maggie has become one of my best friends. I met her at the first CILT reunions, and became friends with her when she came to Indianapolis to visit Sar. Since then she has consistently been in my life. She keeps in touch. She cares. She knows whats going on with me. She's "real great". I love her a whole lot. Its amazing to me that two people who have only seen each other in person 4 times in their life can be such good friends, but me and Maggie managed to do it. I'm so so glad I got to go visit her and see her real life and I'm so so so glad I will be spending so much time with her this summer. Mags is a great friend, has a huge heart, and has been there for me continuously since I've known her. I'm so lucky and blessed to have Mags in my life.

Sar:
One of the funniest things me and Sarah talk about is how we didn't really get to know each other over the summer while she was my CILT counselor. But somewhere between then and now between seeing her with lots of camp people to it being just me and her hanging out at her apartment doing nothing, she's become one of my best friends. I can't say that I've met very many people like Sarah. She has a way of caring and loving and giving hope and prayer and inspiration about her that I can only aspire to be like as a counselor. When I think about my friendship this year with Sarah, I think about God putting people in your life for a reason. This year she's seen me through a lot, and I can honestly say she saved me in a lot of ways. She was a friend when i was feeling friendless and someone to talk to when I was hurting and most importantly she was just there.

Virginia:
Okay, well in all honestly I met Virginia before this year. But I did't become good friends with her until this year so I count it. Virginia is unlike any friend I've ever had. She's not the typical sentimental girl that all of us know, but I love her for her differences. I'm so glad I got to spend time with her this year and really hang out and get to know each other and have so much fun. She wrote my Junior Spec act (pictured in list #1) and is just so creative and funny and spirited. She's a blast to be around and just has this way about her where she really doesn't care what anyone thinks, and I think that's so admirable. I think one of the best parts about going to a school my size is that you can come to your Junior year and still be adding best friends and getting to know new, great people. I love Virg a lot, and am so so glad we got the opportunity to become close this year!
